Playing Youtube HD (High Definition) requirements

>> Sunday, January 3, 2010

A Regular Youtube Video requires only 512 kbps of internet connection. Since youtube Video are now divided into 3 different quality: Regular Video, HQ or High Quality Video and HD or High Difinition Video. Going back to the older players in our Television, The resolution of a VCD movie is 352x288 pixels, an improved SVCD is 480x576, and DVD is 704 or 720 x 576. You might not notice the pixelized picture because you are enjoying the movie. Like our 2 television channels right now, GMA 7 gives lower resolution and it will be pixelized to bigger television. While ABS-CBN 2 is broadcasting in Digital Television provides higher resolution and digital format, well GMA 7 Watchers don't notice about this one since they are enjoying watching shows compared to ABS-CBN 2.

Going back to our post. Youtube requires at least 1Mbps downstream pure connection for HQ Video and a HD Video requires 1.5 to 2.0 Mbps downstream pure connection. This conversion requires 2024 kbps of pure downstream internet connection for no latency watching of Youtube HD Videos since it is 1920x1080 (1080p) or 1280 x 720.

If you don't have those connection, you can still watch HD videos by downloading them to your computer. Because if you watch online, it will buffer and will take your time to wait. You can Use IDM (you can google it) to download Youtube HD Videos, remember that the file format for an HD Video at youtube is MP4 and not FLV compared to the HQ and Regular Videos.
